"Before the world knew your name, God knew your mission. Don't underestimate the power of His singular commission." Chaplain David.

Luke 14:28 KJV: "For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?"

This verse encapsulates the theme of the "one man" as an originator or pioneer, emphasizing the foresight, hard work, and sacrifice required to begin something new and impactful, as highlighted throughout the blog.

Philippians 4:13 KJV: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

This scripture speaks directly to the divine enablement and supernatural equipping God provides to the individual He calls, assuring that human limitations do not hinder the fulfillment of His vision. It reinforces the message that with God's power, the "one person" can achieve seemingly impossible tasks and leave an indelible impression on the world.

When a Man Stands, the House Stands

"God starts His plan off with one man, not a committee, not a team, not a board, just one man." Chaplain David

In this powerful declaration, "When a Man Stands, the House Stands," the "House" is more than just a physical building. It's a profound, symbolic representation of several critical elements. It symbolizes God's presence, power, and authority in the world, manifesting His will through His chosen instruments. It represents a place of refuge, spiritual nourishment, and transformation, whether that's a literal church, a thriving business, a supportive family, or a life-changing organization. It can also symbolize the individual believer, who is seen as a "temple" or dwelling place of God's Spirit.

While "Teamwork makes the dream work" offers undeniable power in collaboration, God's profound operating style often begins with a singular focus: one man. This chosen individual is a "strange, unique person that he spoke a word to, that he put a gift in, that he put a song in, that He put a talent in, and everything starts with that one man". This isn't to diminish community, but to highlight a foundational principle of divine initiation. God, in His infinite wisdom, frequently selects one unique individual (One Man), and from that solitary vessel, everything begins to unfold. Consider that "God created all of creation, and it all started with one man".

As we delve into the memoir and the course, "The Ripple Effect: When One Man Changes Everything", we will explore further examples of how a single individual (One Man) can effect significant change. Don’t let the title deceive you. We'll specifically examine how one woman made a profound difference in this memoir. Take Deborah, for instance: a prophetess, judge, and military leader who not only inspired and guided Israel but also empowered Barak to embrace his leadership role. We'll list additional women later. We are reminded that "God might be preparing you to use you in a way that you've never been used before. That leaves an indelible impression on the world." God might be preparing you to use you in a way that you've never been used before. That leaves an indelible impression on the world".

"Every earthquake of revival, every mountain moved, starts with one man hearing God's whisper. Will you listen?" Chaplain David

Definitions: Understanding the "One Man" and the Nuances of "The Call"

Now, let's gain a deeper understanding of the core concepts that define our discussion, particularly the distinction between originating a work and stewarding an existing one.

The "One Man" (Divinely Appointed Originator):

This individual receives a direct, unique vision or mandate from God to begin something entirely new. This isn't an application process, but a divine download, a foundational call to create what wasn't there before. They are the pioneers, the founders, the architects, operating by faith to establish the initial core and direction of a business, church, non-profit, or even a great home. Biblical examples include Noah (building the ark), etc. These figures weren't voted into pre-existing roles but were divinely chosen to initiate new chapters. This also applies when a missionary or evangelist feels a divine call to go out and start something without the prior approval, recommendations, or formal application process of an established institution. This becomes a clear manifestation of the "One Man" principle, as they are directly following God's leading to lay a new foundation, often against prevailing norms.

The "God-Called Steward" (Divinely Appointed for Existing Leadership):

God also calls this individual, but their calling involves stepping into an already established organization, such as a church or business. Their appointment often involves human processes, such as votes from boards, deacons, or members. For example, a "God-called missionary" or "evangelist" going to an already established field or organization often needs to find a mission board and be approved. Then, they require a sending church and recommendations from other churches, which must also be approved. The evangelist follows the same process; they need church approval or recommendations from a church. All of this requires approval from the relevant individuals. Essentially, people and institutions approve of this type of calling, which is excellent and provides a sense of safety. Their mission is to lead, guide, and potentially shift an existing entity, building upon the foundational work laid by an originator. While they bring their vision and make necessary adjustments, they are stewarding something that already has a history and structure. This in-depth study of the "One Man" emphasizes the crucial need for skill refinement.

"God has equipped you and called you to do something uniquely and powerfully. Are you hearing what I'm saying to you?"

This divine preparation instills confidence, enabling us to move without hesitation. "When God lets go, we go with no questions asked".

Unlock Your Calling: The Power of One

"It takes one man to build a business, one man to build a church, and one man to start a non-profit organization. It takes one man to have a great home." - Chaplain David

The principle of "one man" extends far beyond the grand biblical narratives; it applies to every sphere of life where greatness is forged:

  • It takes one man to build a business. Consider the vision, the courage, and the relentless effort often initiated by a single individual.

  • Proverbs 16:3 KJV: "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established."

  • Proverbs 22:29 KJV: "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."

  • It takes one man to build a church. While the body of Christ is vast, the initial spark, the foundation, often comes through one called a vessel.

  • Matthew 16:18 KJV: "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

  • 1 Corinthians 3:10 KJV: "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon."

  • It takes one man to start a non-profit organization. The compassion, the burden for a cause, and the initial steps to bring help to others often spring from one heart.

  • Galatians 6:9 KJV: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

  • Proverbs 19:17 KJV: "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again."

  • It takes one man to have a great home. The leadership, the spiritual covering, and the commitment to family often originate with the man of the house, guided by God.

  • 1 Timothy 3:4 KJV: "One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;"

Joshua 24:15 KJV: "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
