A Note to the Reader on Transparency - As you navigate this bio, you will see more than just a story. Throughout this page, I have included hard evidence of the work being done—scans of thank-you letters, personal texts, and verified Google and Facebook analytics. This data serves as a testament that our outreach program is not just a concept, but a living, breathing mission with measurable results. Every number represents a soul, and every letter represents a life finding hope.

A Vision of Faith-Based Transformation
Welcome to a mission centered on faith-based transformation and the profound power of second chances. As a visionary leader and the heart behind CA Jail Outreach and Camp Growth, I specialize in a deep, analytical approach to restoration. This is a dedicated outreach program built on three primary goals: to see the lost saved, to restore hope through a second chance, and to reconnect individuals to the local church.
What is a Bible Mentalist?
You may ask, "What does a Bible Mentalist actually do?" I do not just read the Word; I analyze the heart and the mind to unlock a true Growth Journey. Applying the same analytical rigor found in the military’s Advanced Strategist Program, I look at life's challenges not just as problems to be solved, but as terrains to be navigated and conquered through the Word.Â
My military training taught me to see the "why" behind the "what," and I apply that same strategic mindset to help you break through spiritual and mental barriers. Through my books, memoirs, podcasts, and video content, I break down the Holy Bible and raw life experience to provide you with the mental and spiritual tools to keep going. By weaving together the wisdom of the Word, personal experience, and the strength of the local church, we are building stronger communities one life at a time.
"A Bible Mentalist does not just read the Word; he analyzes the heart and the mind to unlock a true Growth Journey." — Chaplain DavidA Life Forged in Faith and Service
My journey is a testament to resilience and Solid Wisdom, built on a foundation of profound faith and military excellence.
My Foundation of Faith: My walk with the Lord began on June 10, 1979, when I was saved, followed by my baptism on June 24, 1979. At 18, I felt the Lord's calling to become a preacher during a Christian Camp and surrendered my life to the Gospel. I spent three formative years at Bible College, where I honed my skills in preaching and serving the Lord—those years serve as the bedrock for the work I do today.
Military Excellence: My military career spanned 22 years, a journey interrupted at Bible College when I was called to Active Duty for my military specialty. As a combat veteran, I served in various combat and non-combat roles, gaining unique skills in leadership, teamwork, and courage. These experiences were the training ground for the outreach program I lead today.
Personal Resilience: Life has brought both triumph and profound trial. The loss of my first wife five years ago was a challenging time, but through faith and the support of loved ones, I found the strength to move forward. Today, I am happily remarried to a remarkable, Godly woman—a dedicated high school teacher for over 16 years with a Master’s degree in Education, currently pursuing her Doctorate. Together, we share the joy of our 27-year-old son and our delightful three-year-old daughter who brings immense joy to our lives.
The Harvest at the Well: Outreach in the Marketplace
I believe the most effective outreach happens where people are actually living. "Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour." — John 4:6 (KJV)
Jesus didn't wait in a religious center; He met the woman of Samaria at the Well—the place she had to go just to survive. Today, our "Wells" are the gas pumps, the grocery aisles, and the transit stops.
The Harvest is not found in the pews—it is found at the Well. By meeting a physical, immediate need with a simple "Cup of Cold Water"—like a gas card or a grocery card—we bypass the digital brain's skepticism.
We don't just provide a second chance; we provide a bridge. We partner with local pastors and churches nationwide to ensure that when an individual transitions out of the system, they aren't walking alone—they are walking into a community.
"A gift card in a stranger's hand is a sermon they can't ignore. You aren't just paying for their groceries; you're proving that the Provider is still on the Throne." — Chaplain DavidOur Core Outreach Programs & Verified Impact
CA Jail Outreach Nationwide
Our main organization is where strategy meets the street. Here, you can learn about the 1-4-4 Growth Journey Program, sign up for our newsletter, or become a volunteer.
Engagement: We average between 10,000 and 17,000 people connecting with us monthly via our website, social media, and technology platforms.
Literature: We have distributed over 500 free physical books and Kindles through our Growth Journey Program, reaching inmates and their families nationwide.
Camp Growth
We take "Junior" kids away from their "crazy lives" for a week of transformation. These children live in a world where at least one parent (and sometimes both) is in the jail system, or they are currently in foster care. We provide 100% scholarships for a week of fun where they learn about faith, leadership, character, and so much more. We are showing them that their history is just a chapter, not the whole story.

Providing fresh knowledge to enrich your path, our podcast has reached over 25,000 listeners and downloads across the United States and continues to grow.
Support the Purpose: The "Add Ice" Philosophy
In my leadership and outreach work, I have a core conviction: Helping is ordinary; adding ice makes it extraordinary. There are leaders, and then there are leaders who serve; among the best are those who always remember to add the ice. You can be part of this:
Volunteer:Â Join our digital outreach team or mentor through our 1-4-4 program.
Sponsor:Â Fund a "Growth Journey" book bundle for a local jail or a scholarship for a child at Camp Growth.
Invest: Every book sold on my Amazon Author Page fuels this mission. I receive $2 for a cup of coffee to keep me moving, and every other cent goes toward the outreach and our volunteers.
Follow: Join me on my personal Facebook page at www.facebook.com/david.avritt for the latest news, fantastic photography, and updates on our free Kindle giveaways during premier launches.
As we look toward the future, we remember the words of Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV: "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun." Your history is just a chapter, but your Growth Journey is the story of how Renewed Growth changes everything.Â
We don't say goodbye; we say, Until The Trumpet Blows. In the meantime, let's push forward until He comes.Yours in Service,
